Congratufuckinglations. This girl isn’t drinking coffee until women are forced to carry pregnancies at the expense of their mental and physical health. At the expense of their families, social and financial circumstances, education, employment, and long-term stigma. This girl will NOT drink coffee until she’s assured women have no choices in their fertility. What a fucking saint.
And just think how relieved she will feel if one day she gets to pour herself a fresh hot cup of joe and think about how many women are being forced to breed against their will. Imagine how satisfied she will feel, not just from her caffeine hit, but from knowing that women have no control over their bodies unless they seek out expensive and dangerous illegal abortions.
I’ll say it again, congratufuckinglations.

Not that I’m for criminalizing abortion, obviously, since I am an anarchist, but I really wish people knew how to argue logically. I really wish so many people weren’t ignorant enough to reblog this commentary without a rebuttal.
If abortion isn’t wrong, use science. Use logic. Don’t use this “women being forced to breed against their will,” and “women carrying children to term at the expense of their mental, physical, and economic circumstances” bullshit.
Is it wrong? Whether that answer is yes or whether it’s no, it shouldn’t matter what the circumstances are. Not murdering a child is definitely more important than a woman’s economic, social, or health circumstances, unless of course it’s life threatening. If it’s not murder, then it shouldn’t come down to emotional arguments. You aren’t arguing with misogynists, you’re arguing with people who believe it is murder. Your misogynist, emotional arguments are not helping.
I really don’t understand what the fuck coffee has to do with anything or why anyone cares whether she’s drinking it or not.

This, this, this, this, this.  This is the entire point that I’ve been arguing.  Not that the feminists seem to understand it.

I just think it’s extremely inappropriate to try and martyr yourself with coffee. I mean, really. The debate needs a little bit more respect then that.

^ right there. Common, really now?

It’s like me saying I won’t eat chocolate until gay people are no longer executed in x countries. Right or wrong, it’s just…so insufficient.
I don’t want to live on this planet anymore.

@haereticum: Is “forced to breed against her will” not horrifying enough for you?
